Many people travel to see loved ones at Christmas and others head out to restaurants with them too. However, you spend Christmas though if you have children like I do your probably thinking how am I going to keep my kids entertained this festive season. So here is my solution for keeping those kids from running circles around you this season.
Christmas Activity Books & Dvds
Like my Halloween busy kit the Christmas busy kit I propose has similar components. For example, activity books and dvds. Ok the dvds are better left at home if you are visiting a restaurant but if you are not going out then why not snuggle up with your little ones with a comfy blanket and your favourite munchies and unwind in front of the screen for a while.Activity books are also great for capturing the minds of little ones too. I find myself helping my eldest with where stickers go and how to go about activities but I enjoy aiding her learning and developing her skills. It's a treasured time doing things with the one I love.
Other Christmas Components
Also added to this kit are pipe cleaners in festive colours for any festive makes that take our fancy and we need them to craft with. Festive stamps, googly eyes and stickers for creative play as well as a couple of seasonal suncatchers.
Of course I couldn't resist also adding in to the mix another festive pack from totschooling. They have free printable packs that help your little preschooler get a grasp of colours, numbers, alphabet and more. We did the Autumn activities a number of times and I imagine that my eldest will enjoy their Winter ones just as much.
How will you entertain your little ones this Christmas holiday season?

Great list of activities - I'm a big fan of books and crafting. #MMBC
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea, I used to do something similar when my kids were younger. If we were going out to visit family or to a restaurant I'd always take colouring books and crayons with me. Of course, a lot of restaurants these days provide them for you now...maybe they got the idea from me, haha. We do forget sometimes how boring trips can be for kids though, even sitting in aunties house for an hour can be a nightmare, a box of activities like this can be entertaining at any time of need.
