Where do you keep all of these things that you make?!

Thank you to all those that have left comments on my blog. I always love reading them. One of the comments that was left on my blog was 'where do you keep all of these things that you make?!' made by JakiJellz. I think this would be a great question to answer and round this series off.

Where do you keep all of these things that you make?!

The direct answer would be I keep all the things we make scattered around the house. However, the organised side of my mind has noted a few ways in which we can keep the mess at bay and hold on to our creations.

Keep mess at bay and kids creations in order by:

  • The first method is to get hold of a container to house all the things in.
  • You could also get hold of a ring binder and cut a section from the creation to store in it.
  • Take photos of the projects and create an album with them
  • Why not make a photo collage and frame it of all the creations

Where do you keep all of these things that you make?!

I have also got a stamp that allows for the exact date to be stamped on to the artwork or if you don't want the ink seeping through into your photo a label sticker.

So there you have it a few ideas to keep mess under control and have the ability to look back over the kids creations for years to come.

Have you tried any of these ideas? What do you do with the things you are sent home?

  1. I love the idea I read recently of taking pictures of the bigger items especially so the project will be recorded and remembered, but that it clearly isn't going to live forever. I've seen some cool portfolios that combine some original work that is of a saveable size with pictures of work that isn't and I think it is a nice way to provide a record for a child into adulthood of what they did in school.

  2. I have a large box which I have kept my kids things in. But i still have to clear it out occasionally as it's pretty full. We have a pin board in the kitchen where work can be displayed and enjoyed for a while. My kids are getting older now and the work is smaller or they don't bring anything home from school anymore. We still do some projects at home though.

  3. We have so much of it just laying around on shelves....Some of the seasonal decorations is in boxes, some of the amazing stuff is in the memory boxes and some has been snuck into the bin. Shh! Don't tell the kids. #MMBC

  4. A constant battle in our house to keep it tidy but also keep what our girls create. Somehow seems unfair to consign them to a box but what else can we do?

  7. This is always such a dilema for me. I have 5 kids, you can only imagine the tubs of artwork I have, much to my husbands irritation :) #globalblogging
