As I sit here snuggled up in a blanket with my eldest daughter indoors. Snowflakes make their merry dance descending to the floor outside covering the garden in a blanket of snow. I imagine it wont last long and just like that summer will be here scorching our skin! There is beauty in the everyday moments and it is with delight that I look back at the positives and focus on the things that have brought joy in February.
Getting Outside

We have spent much of the month cooped up together inside. There was the odd winter walk through a nature reserve overlooking the city of Dreaming Spires and one near the river that brought with it a bitter chilling wind that whipped round our faces as we moved. Still getting out briefly brings with it some benefits including fresh air rather than dust.
Embracing Colour
Despite the fact that the icy grips of Winter still have a hold on us this has not been the case in terms of colour as blue has been ditched in favour of pink and red. Colours that can be found in the fake flowers that I've brought into the house as well as those found in celebrations such as Valentines.
Eldest Turned Three!
February has also brought a bittersweet moment as my eldest turned three. It is true that these years fly by so fast and they don't stay babies for very long. I can already see this with her younger sister too who can do a lot more for herself than she could a little while ago. For my eldest she embraced being three with excitement, dressed up in her bumblebee outfit and keen to blow out the candles more than once on her caterpillar cake. Her sister swept up in her excitement was happier to tuck into the cake than bother with candles.
Alphabet Challenge
We have also had lots of fun with Two Tiny Hands alphabet challenge and been busy creating all sorts of things in line with it. My post on colour also got featured by One Messy Mama.
Home Decor
And finally I have been considering how to decorate the girls bedrooms and grouped together things that I'd like to put in them.
How was the month of February for you?

You look like you've had a fabulous February #BloggerclubUK
ReplyDeleteThat alphabet challenge sounds like a fun idea, I always seem to miss these things on Instagram, but I could do with the encouragement to post more often! Sounds like a lovely month and your girls are so cute!

ReplyDeleteYou're so wise to go for color in February. I brought in some bare forsythia branches hoping to force blooms, but I think I was too early.
