“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

Some people loathe it but my girls and hubby and I love it. What am I talking about soft play of course. We were back at our favourite place over the weekend (Roves Farm) for their disco and more fun on the soft play. We stroked the animals that were being put away for the night, zipped down the slides and boogied to the disco beat. So today I'm sharing a couple of photos of my babies having fun.
Youngest is getting to be quite the daredevil showing no fear as she crawls up the soft play ladder and shoots down the slide. When she wasn't on the soft play slides, she was having a go at the bouncy castle, swinging on the swings and sinking in the ball pits. Whenever she hears music she likes to bounce to the beat but be careful Mr DJ I've a feeling she may want to be playing the music too.
Our eldest also is a huge fan of the soft play. When she's not surrounded by soft toys like this lovely snail, she's in and out of the swings, scaling the rock climbing wall, running in and out of the rabbit holes and zipping down the slides. She also is happy to stroke the animals but is unsure whether guinea pigs lunch on fingers! She spent the evening running between the slides and the dance floor.
So that's it from me and my girls this week for Living Arrows. Do you love or loathe soft play?

I think we are edging past the target audience for soft plays. However, we have always loved them. The kids can run around as much as they like, without any adults hovering over them. And parents can be confident that kids will not get lost as the area is typically secured by locked gates. It puts me in mind of the sort of independent play that used to be in front gardens or on the streets, until the massive growth of cars nixed that type of freedom - for the very youngest, at least. Older kids are still relatively safe on quiet, residential roads.
ReplyDeleteMy youngest still loves soft play but she's getting a little too old for it now.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had the best fun! #MMBC
Mine love softplay! I'm personally not a fan but if they're happy then I'm happy #LivingArrows
ReplyDeleteI've yet to find a child who doesn't love soft play. I think I'm one of those strange parents that doesn't mind it either! #LivingArrows
ReplyDeleteI never used to like taking the kids to soft play but we found a really good one earlier this year so I don't mind so much now. It looks like your girls had so much fun. #LivingArrows
ReplyDeleteYou can't beat soft play! It's often hell but now that my two are old enough to take care of themselves in it I quite like going there for a couple of hours and letting them run of steam. They've always loved soft play! x
ReplyDeleteI love soft play when its quiet, but not when its busy! Its nice to be able to let them explore and climb and know they are safe. Your girls look like they had a brilliant time x
