Now regular visitors to my blog may be aware of my hubby’s
love of planes especially those that have a connection to the world wars. He is
so fascinated by them that the slightest noise associated to one of these
particular planes will have him running outside if he’s not out there already
and reaching for the camera. Earlier in the year he visited Hendon with his
father and more recently on holiday in the Lakes we were wandering around when
the roar of engines filled the air and he was trying to work out where they
were coming from. So you can imagine his
excitement when he heard about the Flywheel Festival happening later this
month.

Flywheel, the renowned annual celebration of classic wings and wheels, has
announced an action-packed timetable for its third consecutive year. Taking place on
Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th June in Oxfordshire, the festival will be welcoming
more than 100 competition cars, bikes and dozens of aircraft to Bicester Heritage,
the UK’s best preserved Second World War bomber base. Bringing together the best
in live action cars, motorbikes, aircraft and military vehicles, the festival allows
visitors to get close to the drivers, riders and pilots while enjoying the festival’s
