I reflected on my successes yesterday via my liked and loved
post. I'm pleased to note that three out of five of my intentions were met.
There were two that went off piste so to speak and those were
my goals to collaborate more and get healthier. I'm rather frustrated with myself over the
latter one. There’s nothing sweet in the house today so with the new month here
as well it’s time to dust myself down and start again. If I feel the need for
something sweet I know to take a leaf out of eldest’s book and eat fruit.
In February I also learnt that many children spend less time
outdoors than prisoners! So alongside our long walks in the countryside that
usually take place at the weekend I've been considering getting outside for an
hour each day too. Obviously if it’s throwing down with rain this
isn't going to happen but hopefully more sun and warmth is on its way.
We've been asked to join in Camp Wilderness family fun day
at the end of the month. I'm really
looking forward to this and am hoping that our eldest will get a lot out of it.
I will of course let you all know how it went after the experience.
Last month also saw the start of me sorting out the girls
spring/summer wardrobe. Trying to work out how many things we may
need of each item is a challenge as you never know what the weather is going to
do. I've noticed I've a whole lot of 12-18 month dresses but not many in 9-12.
Then I wonder whether to start putting together next year’s wardrobe for the
eldest. How do you manage your little ones wardrobe?
So that’s my list of intentions for this month. What are
your proposing to do during the month of March?
The wardrobe thing is so tricky isn't it! The unknown British weather makes it so hard to plan.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on being healthier this month. I've started off terribly by eating a load of chocolate just now #bestandworst
Good for you getting outside, I love a good walk with my kids.

We aim for 20-30 minutes outside each day unless it's really nice and sunny then we shoot for longer. We don't go out if it's raining, blizzard like or super cold.
ReplyDeleteThe weather in February didn't really help with the getting outside bit did it. Hopefully spring has sprung and the weather improves from this point on. I really need to be healthier this month too, I seem to crave sugar 24/7 at the minute! I'm very last minute with the kids wardrobes and just wait till they grow out of stuff them have a trip to Asda or Primark. I do try to make sure they have a mixture of short and long sleeved items as well as hoodies/cardigans and vests as well as dresses and tights for daughter. That way we're pretty much covered for all eventualities and they can just layer up or strip off depending on the weather. Good luck with all your intentions for this month x

Hi Helena, three out of five isn't bad at all. The good thing is that you can just start again with the two you missed out on again this month.... Getting outside for an hour a day sounds like a plan and a perfect idea now that spring isn't too far off.
ReplyDeleteGoodluck with your goals for this month and thank you for linking up with the #MMBC.
xx
I really love the fact that you are trying to get out every day! Great goal 🌟 Thank you for linking up to #ablogginggoodtime 🎉
ReplyDeleteWe love going outside and try to go walking each weekend, but the Tubblet is less keen now she is older. We make her go anyway ;) Lovely photo! #SharingtheBlogLove
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a good month! When it comes to my daughter's wardrobe, I barely manage it! I really need to get more organised with it. All the clothes she's grown out of are just in cardboard boxes at the moment! #BloggerClubUK
ReplyDeleteWe're definitely planning on getting outside more in March - between illness and the weather, February has been quite a cooped up month for us. Best of luck - I'm always impressed by how much you get outside anyway! Thanks for joining us at #SharingtheBlogLove
ReplyDeleteGreat list - hopefully the weather will be lovely and spring like in March and we can all get out more!

I'm trying to increase time spent outside (and exercising) too but the weather seems determined to thwart me. Ah well, it's March! Things should start improving... Right? 🙂
ReplyDeletewell done for achieving 3/5 - that's are result especially in February when it's so cold and dark you just want to hibernate!
ReplyDeleteCamp Wilderness sounds like fun - I must look into that
With the clothes, I'm always rotating but I do need a second wardrobe to put everything in!
#MMBC
My kids have so many clothes - we've been lucky to get hand me downs so I don't have to make those decisions! Pretty soon my girls will both be wearing the same sizes and I am not looking forward to the fights that will occur.
ReplyDeleteGood for you for trying to get healthy! I've been trying that myself and I'm not successful every day. It's all about regrouping and starting again, and making small changes that hopefully become routine!

Oh I find that sad that some children are outside less than prisoners. If it isn't raining, then my two are hardly inside normally.

We will be getting out more in March. With moving house at Christmas we've had lots to do, but its now all done. I can't wait for the warmer days. Thank you for joining us at #SharingtheBlogLove x
ReplyDeleteGood luck with ticking off the items on your list this month. I like the sound of getting out more. It's fallen by the wayside a little for us over recent weeks but now that the weather is getting warmer, it's become much more appealing. I tend to only buy clothes when the children are outgrowing theirs - Jessica's wardrobe is now handed straight down to Sophie so there's usually only one child needing new clothes. We're also lucky in that we get a lot of hand-me-downs from hubby's cousin who has twin girls a year older than Jessica. #bloggerclubuk
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of a monthly bucket list, I've been meaning to do one for a couple o months, so I'm starting in April! Good luck with this month, I struggle too when craving something sweet. I've found eating more protein is helping.. I've started following the lean in 15 meal plans. #SharingtheBlogLove
ReplyDeleteI've got a ton of stuff to do in March.....mostly tidying the house up from after our fire!! Good luck with your bucket list, look forward to seeing how it goes :) Thanks for linking up #bestandworst
