This
week we had the pleasure of seeing one of our family members from France
(Hubby’s Father). He came over for the week and stayed with different family
members. Tuesday night saw us play host and my hubby talked late into the night
with him in French.
This
week has also seen (or rather heard) builders working on the property next door
to us. They are getting it ready for the new tenants to move into. A tip
appeared yesterday and the bath went into that. There’s been drilling, sawing
and more going on. I'm surprised that the babies have been able to sleep through most of it. The previous tenant was an elderly disabled lady who passed
away around Christmas.
How has your week been?
How lovely to have a visit from your father-in-law. Sounds like a lot of work happening next door - it's amazing what little ones can sleep through sometimes though! #WotW
ReplyDeleteIt's rare so we were keen to do an activity he would enjoy and that the eldest would love too. My girls have always been good sleepers but to the extent I had to wake them for feeds.
DeleteIt's great to have family guests come over for visits, isn't it? We had one over the Christmas holidays and it was just lovely :) #wotw
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is. I'm pleased you enjoyed seeing yours.
DeleteSo nice to catch up with family, must have been lovely for your husband. Hope the drilling and noise dies down soon! Thanks for sharing with #WotW x
ReplyDeleteIt definitely was. He was so thrilled to see him. I'm surprised that there's a lot to do on the property.
DeleteThat is the loveliest photo and it sounds like it's been a noisy week for you all, those babies of yours are adorable #weekendblogshare
ReplyDeleteThank you. I've decided that I can cope as long as they don't come through the wall.
DeleteA film visit must have been lovely but what a shame about the noise, even more so due to the reason behind it. Great choice of word though, it makes you think. Thanks for joining the #weekendblogshare
ReplyDeleteThank you Hannah
Deleteglad your week is going well, for the most part! hopefully the noise isn't too bad! My week went well; I got a YT video up, though I need to get my workouts and meal prepping back on track finally. sheesh! :P Hope you have a lovely weekend!

Thank you Tianna.
DeleteHow lovely to catch up with family. We had so much renovation going on in the house when the children were babies, that I thought I'd need to record it and play it back when it was all over, otherwise they would never be able to sleep.#wotw
ReplyDeleteWe don't get to see him much so it was a joy. You make me giggle.
DeleteAhh! It sounds like a lovely visit from your father in law.
ReplyDeleteThe building work sounds very annoying....I hope they new tenants are nice. x
#WotW
It sure was. As long as they don't come through the wall then we're ok.
DeleteHi Helena, how lovely that your husband got to see his Dad and your children their Grandad. You are lucky that the children can sleep through the noise of the workmen, hope they finish their job soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking with the #MMBC.
I hope so too. They've been working on it for a fortnight. I'm surprised really.
DeleteAh i bet thats been lovely for your hubby, I hope you are able to understand a little french? And such a shame about the old lady, I hope you new neighbours are lovely and all that banging stops soon x
ReplyDeleteYes he's definitely enjoyed catching up with his father. Je sais un peu de francais pas beaucoup. Merci. x
DeleteHope you have been enjoying your lovely family time. Hope the building work is done soon and you get some nice new neighbours instead of builders!
ReplyDeleteThank you Amy
