This week’s word has got to be ‘audit’. I have been putting away the girls’ summer
vests and bringing out the long sleeved ones. I've also put away the dresses
that can’t be layered up and anything else that shouts summer and can’t be worn
in the winter.
I've got a number of puzzles stowed away in their wardrobe so I've put them in age order. As I bought them second hand I haven’t gone through all of them yet to see whether they've got all their instructions and pieces but I will.
I've also bought a few picture frames for the girls’ bedroom including one for the gorgeous print from DeeDee&boo.
Finally, I've cleaned the windowsill with vinegar and put conkers in
place so the spiders don’t get to my eldest. Having seen her reach out and
touch them in the past I don’t think she’d bat an eye lid to one or two sharing her room
though.
What have you been doing in preparation for the cooler months?

Oh wow! You have been busy!
ReplyDeleteI need to get some conkers to keep the spiders away!
#WotW
An activity for the weekend?
DeleteI've done the same this week, sorted out all the Summer clothes donated what won't fit next year and stored the rest away. I love pulling all our winter clothes out and a it's been nippy enough a few times this week to warrant wearing a jumper. #WotW
ReplyDeleteI hear you or should that be read you
DeleteWhat do you mean put conkers in place, do they stop spiders? if so I am going conker collecting. I so need to go through the boys wardrobes and take all the things that don't fit them out, I keep putting it off x
ReplyDeleteYes - that is the theory. Maybe keep a tub in the wardrobe and put the outgrown stuff in that as you get through it. A bit at a time is easier I find.
DeleteOh yes the cooler weather is certainly no its way and I've been doing a similar thing, swapping summer clothes for winter ones!
ReplyDeleteI've never tried the conkers trick- I'll be checking in to see if it works as we have the largest of spiders here, too!

Winter sure does seem to last longer than Summer
DeleteYou have been busy and productive this week. Next on my prepping for colder months list is getting into the garden and cutting things back where needed, but there's still so much flowering out there which is unusual this late. I'll get round to it soon! Thanks for sharing with #WotW
ReplyDeleteMy hubby has been doing that. It looks like winter out there now.
DeleteThat print is beautiful! That tip about the vinegar and conkers is something I definitely have to do. My boy and I hate spiders, so anything that helps to keep them away is something I'm happy to do! #weekendblogshare
ReplyDeleteIt sure is. You need only to put the conkers in the windowsills. The vinegar is an alternative to household cleaner.
DeleteIt feels like that time now to swap over to autumnal clothing X #wotw
ReplyDeleteI agree
DeleteThe conkers on the windowsills is a new thing for me. I'd quite like to do that, but I think the cat would see them as toys and bat them about the house. I really must sort out all of our clothes this week #weekendblogshare
ReplyDeleteOh no that's not good.
DeleteOh wow, you are super-organised! I love a good sort out, it's very therapeutic isn't it? I really need to find time to do this soon. Thanks for the motivation. #WotW
ReplyDeleteI find doing things little and often helps. As does keeping a tick list.
DeleteConkers do have a lovely, shiny, patterned surface. Like mahogany. I quite like the spiders. They do eat the other bugs.
ReplyDeleteYou are organized. I seem to drift into the new season clothes wise, although it's usually this half term that I go through everyone's wardrobes, checking for clothes that are too small.#wotw
They sure do. That's true.
DeleteI try.
Well I did not know about conkers!!! Sounds a very productive week 😊 #wotw
ReplyDeleteLove productive weeks
