Last Saturday we made the most of the weather and headed to a festival in the region.
Now in it's fourth year the Wads-stock festival features vintage transport, fairground rides, craft stalls, musicians and food. The festival is free with donations raised being split between the Thames Valley Air Ambulance and Community Centre.
Sadly our daughters were a bit too young to go on any of the rides and we felt the food was a bit too expensive. We did however love seeing the old cars and motorbikes.
My favourite being this vehicle which featured little details such as a duck with an umbrella on top of it and a raccoon climbing up the side.
Have you been to an outdoor festival lately? What was your experience?
Oh wow, these cars look amazing. It must of been lovely to just walk around and enjoy seeing the "past" before your eyes! #bigpinklink
ReplyDeleteYes it was lovely to see them. They seem to have character. Sadly we arrived a little late in the day so missed a number of them.
DeleteI know how much expensive food are in events like this so we always bring our own mostly just snacks.
ReplyDeleteBut the event looks amazing and so many spaces for your daughter to explore =) #whatevertheweather
I definitely agree with you bringing your own food is super frugal. I wish I'd done so on Thursday as I was sick after eating something!
DeleteI haven't been to any festivals lately, but it's very cold here in Melbourne right now. I look forward to markets when the weather warms up. Food is always so expensive out, we usually pack lunch, but buy coffee and cake #mg
ReplyDeleteYes I understand it will be your winter right? Here in the UK it is expensive too so it is rare for us to eat out.
DeleteIt looks fantastic! These places are great for little ones to explore. I hate how expensive the food is, we normally bring a picnic and if we have it, a little extra for a treat like an ice cream. Even those are extortionate! Thanks so much for sharing with #Whatevertheweather x
ReplyDeleteI'm with you regards expense. We tend to do the same.
DeleteVery informative post. Thanks for sharing.
