As I've been unable to drive for six weeks it has meant we've not been able
to join in some of the fun that’s been happening lately. While we've been
cooped up indoors the eldest’s friends have been enjoying the nearby splash
park. Just over a week ago we decided to rectify this with a family outing. We grabbed
a picnic and headed out to the local splash park.
The park wasn't difficult to find as we soon heard plenty of
little ones running around and squealing with the joy of getting squirted by the water. As the sun beat down I placed my eldest on the ground so she could have
a good look around and we touched the water together as it rose and fell to greet us.
Soon she was running about like the other little ones and thoroughly enjoying the experience. She did have to watch out for bigger kids that were running around and nearly got wiped out once or twice!
But I am confident that I have a little water baby on my hands and I am looking forward to her joining her friends and splashing about more this Summer.
Just don't forget the dry clothes if you venture to the splash park!

Looks as if you had a lovely time together. What a great way to spend time with your little one. Popping over from #TwinklyTuesday
ReplyDeleteWe loved it and are looking forward to doing it again soon.

DeleteIt certainly was but really cold water so one for just the hot days.
DeleteWhat delightful pictures. Is there ever a baby who isn't a water baby? Specially till they have mums to dry them off when they've had enough. #mg
ReplyDeleteThank you. My daughter screamed like a cat in water when she was first introduced to baths so this is a big step.
DeleteAh looks like loads of fun and definitely a water baby. Xx #twinklytuesday
ReplyDeleteIt definitely was. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. xx
DeleteLooks like a great day out for everyone #fartglitter
ReplyDeleteIt sure was.

ReplyDeleteAh that's a shame they are missing out.
DeleteLooks like fun. Kids always love splashing water, aren't they? your little one also enjoyed it too. #Whatevertheweather
ReplyDeleteIt sure was. She's come along way since her first encounter with water.
DeleteAw so cute! My two love a splash park and somehow end up instantly drenched just by walking within 1/4 mile of one! The perfect thing to do in the sunshine. Thanks for linking with #fartglitter x
ReplyDeleteThank you. It sure is.
Deleteit's so hard not being able to drive and do normal things, after my c-section I just wanted to get back to dong things. It's lovely to see you get out and it looks like fun! #mg
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely. I can totally understand that. I've yet to go out with two alone.
DeleteWe have waterpark here that we recently visited too and its so much fun to hear the kids playwith water especially on a hot day! Its so nice that you were able to go out and looks like your eldest got the most fun =) #whatevertheweather
ReplyDeleteYes our little squishy is too small this year.
DeleteI love the idea of a splash park, I don't think we have anything like that around here. She sure looks like she's enjoying it!

That's a shame. My daughter really did enjoy it.
DeleteSplash parks always look so much fun, I can see your little one's loving it. Water play really does bring something out in kids and they really do enjoy it all! I can tell that this summer every time the heat occurs you'll be off to the splash park.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing with me on #CountryKids.
That sounds like a good plan to me
DeleteI've not seen a splash park before. It does look fun. Glad you finally made it. #CountryKids
ReplyDeleteIt sure was. Yes I've not experienced one before either. Growing up our village didn't have one.
DeleteI too have a water baby and he would love something like this! I can't seem to find one near us unfortunately, but it looks like soo much fun! #whatevertheweather
ReplyDeleteThat's a shame. It was really enjoyable.
DeleteLooks like she had great fun! My children love the local splash park but it gets so busy on sunny days. We could do with some more!
ReplyDelete#countrykids
She certainly did. I can imagine. It was fairly packed when we went.
DeleteAwww she looks like she is having great fun.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up to #TuesdayTreasures
She sure did.
DeleteI love these splash parks! There are a couple near us, but aren't on very often as it's not often warm enough here. Great for cooling down and enjoying the water. She looks very happy and a proper little water baby! Thanks so much for linking up to #Whatevertheweather :) x
ReplyDeleteI agree these places are the best when it's hot.
DeleteI only know of one splash park just over an hour away from us and last time we were there it was turned off, no idea why.
ReplyDeleteGlad she got braver and had fun. Yes sometimes the bigger children especially if they have no younger siblings will not be toddler aware and bumps will happen. #Countrykids
Ah that's a shame. Fortunately she wasn't bumped into.
DeleteOh this looks like so much fun for little ones :) #countrykids
ReplyDeleteMy little one and her friends have all enjoyed it
DeleteI truly understand waiting till next year if they are still crawling.
ReplyDeleteAwww hoe cute. You can't beat a good splashing about, right? Definitely a water baby. <3
ReplyDelete#countrykids
Certainly great in this weather
DeleteOh wow it looks amazing. I need to see if there is one near us :)
