Word of the Week: Focus

This week we’ve been battling with a cold so my daughter and I have been staying in. We’ve day time television in the background, soft play toys and literature on the rug, while warm drinks have been filling us up. 

Being just the two of us is lovely. It means we can really take the time to bond and focus on things together.

My daughter has been increasingly moving around the floor (think army commando style) and can lift herself up on all fours but she hasn’t quite worked out how to put it all together yet.

Whereas I’ve been nesting and working out what would make our home more organised. Yesterday I had all my stationary out on the floor. My daughter thought it was a good idea to try and eat washi tape, while playing with empty boxes came in a close second.

So there you have it our week all summed up in four paragraphs.  What did you get up to?

      The last time she had a cold it lasted a month! This time we hope it wont that last long.

    Hi Helena, I hope you and your daughter are both feeling better now. It sounds as if you used your time at home positively even if you were feeling rough and your daughter is at that really cute age, just before she becomes a moving nightmare!... Focus was a good word to sum up your week.

      Oh she's already a moving nightmare as she commando crawls along the floor army style and is after anything and everything within reach. Each day we are getting better. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

    I hope you are both feeling better now. I do like occasional days when you are stuck at home and need to feel cosy and take the time to bond.

    Hope the colds improve, there seem to be a few around right now. And eating washi tape, that's an unusual use for it but I'm sure she'll grow to love it just as much as we do :) #wotw

      We're improving each day. I think it's due to seasonal change or older siblings have gone back to school. Yes I am not sure of her remedies lol.
