The Top 7 Tag With The Queen of Collage

The Christmas decorations have come down, the New Years resolutions have been made - scratch that I didn't create any this year nor did I intend to do so. Just putting one foot in front of the other and enjoying the time with my girls and hubby  has been my focus. Then I wrote up a review of last year and it got me a thinking what I may like to keep a hold of this year, what things I could perhaps work on and what I could ditch.

This tag has been created by One Frazzled Mum. It’s a nice way to do a little round up for 2018 and to have a positive post to start the year off. I was tagged by Deb Sharatt owner of My Boys Club.

Here Are My Top 7’s for 2018

Top 7 Posts of 2018

1. Hare Hunting in the Cotswolds– We had such a wonderful time exploring places we would never of otherwise seen and met some wonderful people along the way

2. Christmas at Blenheim Palace – This post reflects on what a wonderful experience we had at one of Oxfordshire's most famous landmarks. The perfect way in which to get into the festive spirit.

3. Roves Farm No BIG Bangs Fireworks and Bonfire Party 2018  – this was the second year in which we visited Roves Farm and this time we were joined by family

4. Peter Rabbit Exhibition Woodstock Museum – this post contains the first video footage of my daughters. I loved how much hands on the exhibit was and loved seeing all the Beatrix Potter memorabilia.

5. Our Oxford Winter Light Night Festival Experience – This post reveals another way in which to get into the festive spirit - can you tell that we love museums?

6. Exploring Châteaux de Meung and Châteaux de Beaugency – It wasn't just museums in the UK thsat we had our eyes on this year. We visited a few in France too.

7. Our Visit to The science Museum, V&A and Natural History Museum in London – I love that the girls got hands on experience through playing and learned so much from their visit. They both have a love of water.

7 Things I loved in 2018

  • Looking back over the posts I wrote in 2018 it's not surprising that the posts that stood out were about places. In 2018 we visited so many places that held wonder and spurred us on to see much more.
  • Researching tot schooling and familiarising my little ones with things like numbers, the alphabet and colours
  • The home improvements that have been made
  • Using our camera to capture photos and video footage. I'm usually the director who visualises things and asks hubby to photo things as I see them.
  • How caring my girls are to one another. Yes they have their moments (as do all siblings) but it's lovely to know they are there for each other at preschool and beyond
  • Seeing my eldest excel at swimming
  • Co-hosting Country Kids with Lucy and Louise and reading so many inspiring posts about adventures written by bloggers

7 Things I Am Looking Forward to in 2019

  • Discovering new places and/or exhibitions
  • Improving the home
  • Doing more geocaching
  • Encouraging the girls to excel in all that they set out to do
  • Practising photography and videoing events
  • Joining in linkys
  • Breathing more creativity into life
I am going to break with tagging anybody for this tag and encourage everyone who would like to do this one to consider themselves tagged.

  5. Your daughters are growing up, seeing there little faces they are just so adorable, I always feel like you do so much with them and the way you encourage them to be outdoors I just love that, it inspires me to do more outdoor things with my children. We have been doing our garden over the summer and it's been lovely getting them to be part of it and we created a fairy garden which was such fun. It sounds like you have another fun year planned and I am sure your daughters will continue to excel. Good luck with your home improvements xx #ABloggingGoodTime
