Living Arrows – 1/52 {2019}

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”
by Kahlil Gibran

I love a good linky it's a great way in which to stay connected with others and be mindful of life preserving it before it passes you by. Living Arrows is one such linky that I have discovered to be a fantastic way in which to live mindfully. I've written a few posts in the past about my girls and looking back at them now I can see that they've certainly grown. As Ruth Hulbert Hamilton wrote 'babies don't keep'.

Youngest started off the first walk of the year by questioning whether she could be picked up and carried. She only says the odd word but it's clear from her gesturing that she was unsure how far we were to walk. When she realised it was only to the bridge she was happy to toddle after us and watch her sister head into the ditch with her Dad to find the geocache.

By contrast her big sister loves to talk and speaks so clearly. Over Christmas she asked when she would be returning to preschool and clearly got a tad confused by the word holiday for she thought it meant we were going abroad. Maybe one day we will spend Christmas abroad but it would have to be somewhere like Rovaniemi, Finland in my opinion. Once Christmas was over she got out the Christmas stockings and placed them at the ends of our beds in hope that he may pop over again.
