18 Things For 2018…A Review

At the beginning of 2018 I joined in a tag that had me setting out 18 intentions for 2018. So I have decided to look back and see if I have achieved any of the things I set out to work on.

18 Things For 2018…A Review

  1. I'm really not sure that I have found a balance for blogging and family life the two certainly come very hand in hand such as our family adventures which then go on to be written about
  2. Through practice I have been learning more about taking photos and joining in with linkys that encourage photo taking I've also enjoyed watching Emily Quinton and her Makelight videos
  3. I have been taking more photos of the girls and stayed accountable through linkys like Country Kids
  4. We have videoed the girls but again this is something that can be practiced
  5. I love a creative challenge and find myself creating things in line with the seasons and their festivities.
  6. I have yet to complete the quilt for my girls but one day I'll get there
  7. I've yet to update their memory keeping books too
  8. I've got into the habit of scheduling more blogs especially over blogmas but mainly I'm a fly by the seat of my pants kind of girl who writes when the mood takes her
  9. This year I feel I have excelled at educating the girls e.g. alphabet, numbers and colours. Yes there's room for improvement but they are still very little. We've lots of resources to help them and finding a totschooling website has been a blessing.
  10. We've been on a lot of geocaching adventures this year and I'm sure this will continue well into the new year
  11. There's always room for improvement when it comes to being environmentally friendly. I must admit that I don't always remember to take a bag out with me when shopping. Perhaps one that can be carried in my handbag and folds out would be a good idea.
  12. Decluttering the house is an ongoing process. There's so much stuff that seems to be needed as a baby and then so much stuff to get rid of. We had a big sort out just before Christmas.
  13. Before Christmas I was getting better at eating well but during the festive season fell ill and I think it was down to a mixture of me eating too many mince pies and my husband not cooking the pastry right through!
  14. I have been very fortunate to have my dad help with a few building projects this year. Without him this would have not been possible. We have now got a lovely porch and one room was divided into two so the girls could each have their own
  15. .I've read more books from the bookcase we have in our living room and those which have been bough have been for the girls
  16. We certainly have had more adventures as a family and many of these have been documnted on the blog
  17. Before Chrisatmas I moved more by doing some dance classes on Youtube through something I'd seen advertised in a magazine.
  18. I haven't met up with any bloggers this year face to face but I'm sure I've spoken to many online

18 Things For 2018…A Review

I'm actually very surprised to discover that many of the things I set out to achieve happened. I haven't looked back at the list until now so I was under the impression that I may not have achieved anything. However, through setting out my goals and keeping myself accountable by joining in a number of linkys I have done rather well - if I do so say myself.

How was your 2018?

  3. What a brilliant year. I love setting goals and will be writing mine up for 2019 later Have a wonderful new year :)

  4. It sounds like you did lots!! And I love the idea of setting out intentions. I might do that for this year as it is a great exercise to look back on, isn't it?

  5. Wow you sound like you have achieved so much. I think in our roles as bloggers there is always something that we feel we can improve upon but that's part of us being creative. Don't under estimate the work you have put into your girls teaching them things like the alphabet. Wishing you a happy & healthy 2019 x #Shareyouryear

  6. It is always great to look back and see what you have accomplished without realising it. Hope you have a fantastic 2019!

  7. It's so good to look back at what you've achieved over the year and even better when you realise that you'd done so much, well done x

  8. Love this list - you did a lot of your targets, and things like cluttering and eating well are always an ongoing process anyway!! Geocaching is something I want to try and get into this year with the kids! Thanks for linking up with #Shareyouryear

  9. It sounds like your year was a great success - you've achieved so many of the things you set out to do. We really need to start decluttering but I just can't work up the motivation at the moment! #ShareYourYear
